Ever felt left out after not getting invited to the afterparty? Join the Afterbath Club, where you'll never be left out of the fun!

The afterbath is the serendipitous party that happens in the dye pot after the planned colorway party is over. Afterbaths are sometimes bold, sometimes mellow, sometimes quirky, but always unpredictable.

When you join, each month you’ll receive a skein of yarn in a mystery colorway that is dyed in an afterbath, (also known as an exhaust bath, but who wants to join the exhaust bath club?) 

These colors are dyed using a technique that helps avoid waste, using up leftover dye in the pot after an initial round of dyeing by dying in a previously used dye bath without adding any new dye. Sometimes, one dye bath can be used for multiple rounds of afterbaths, yielding progressively lighter color each time.

Afterbath dye lots are, by nature, very small, and since they tend to be unpredictable, these colorways are often not repeatable. Every skein is unique, and no two cub members will end up with the same set of skeins.

This is a mystery club, meaning you will not know what yarn you are receiving each month until it arrives on your doorstep. If you have any special color or base requests, feel free to leave a note at checkout, though I cannot guarantee that I will be able to accommodate all special requests.

This listing provides two options: if you select the "one time purchase" option you will receive one skein of yarn one time; if you select the "subscribe and save" option, you will receive a skein of yarn each month for three months (Oct, Nov, Dec) and be billed automatically each month. When you subscribe, the subscription will end automatically after three months.

Please be sure to select whether you would like fingering weight or DK weight yarn. Since I carry multiple fingering and DK bases, club members may receive a mix of bases.

Club yarn will ship within the first week of each month. The price listed includes shipping; additional tax may be charged at checkout.
