Woodland Elf Toque Knitting Pattern

Have you ever seen a woodland elf on sentry duty in the cold Mirkwood winters? Well, if you had, the Woodland Elf Toque is just the sort of cap you would see them wearing. With cables reminiscent of the roots and boughs of their beloved trees and a nice thick brim to keep their ears warm, this would certainly be the headgear of choice.
Finished Measurements
Height - 10.5in. (27cm) - customizable
Circumference at brim - 19in. (48cm)
Note: When the hat comes off your needles, it will be taller and narrower. When you block it (optional) or after wearing it a few times, it will stretch to fit your head and the height will decrease a bit as it stretches out.
Gauge
32 sts x 28 rows = 4in (10cm) in 2x2 ribbing worked in the round before blocking with size 5 needles
